327. Deputy Pa Daly asked the Minister for Justice and Equality his plans to send additional asylum seekers to a direct provision centre (details supplied); if so, the number; if a health inspection will be carried out in advance of any such transfers; and the way in which testing for Covid-19 will be managed. There are no plans to move additional persons to the centre referred to by the Deputy at the current time. The centre currently has a total of 63 residents onsite including nine children.

Any decisions on tests or testing policy is a matter for the HSE in a public health context.
