Deputy Martin Browne asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to a number of appointments at community mental health services in Thurles, County Tipperary being cancelled or deferred on numerous occasions; if this is due to an insufficient number of staff being available to cover for those on leave; if this is due to an insufficient number of mental health staff in the county; his views on the effect the closure of the St. Michael’s unit in Clonmel is having in this regard; his views on the repeated cancellation of appointments; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
