Ceisteanna (243)

Darren O'Rourke

Ceist:

243. Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to a proposal to help alleviate the shortage in medical scientists by way of graduate-entry course at TU Dublin; if his attention has been further drawn to the fact that the course has received approval in principle from the HSE for funding for clinical placement; if his attention has been further drawn to the fact that the process has been delayed despite the fact that TU Dublin is ready for an initial intake of students in January 2020; the measures he will take address the impasse; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In relation to the particular query raised, this is a matter for the Health Service Executive, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
