Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 740 of 15 September 2020, the number of protected disclosures made by HIQA staff directly to HIQA management in each of the years 2015 to 2019, inclusive, and to date in 2020; the number of staff concerned in each year who are currently working on a full-time basis with HIQA; and if he will make a statement on the matter. One staff member who made a protected disclosure is working on a full-time basis with HIQA. All protected disclosures are investigated under HIQA’s policies and procedures, and reported in annual reports published on www.hiqa.ie.
