217. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Social Protection if a decision has been made on an application for an invalidity pension by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [43714/20]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from the 22 October 2020. Payment will issue to his nominated bank account on the 17 December 2020. Any arrears due from the 22 October 2020 to 16 December 2020 (less any overlapping social welfare payment) will issue in due course. The person concerned was notified of this decision on the 11 December 2020.
I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
