Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there are no available appointments at NCT centres in County Donegal to facilitate those who require an inspection for VRT purposes; if extra appointments will be made available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI must advise the Deputy that all matters relating to vehicle registration tax, including the operation of the vehicle registration process carried out by Applus Car Testing Service, are matters for the Revenue Commissioners.
Please note that the National Car Test (NCT) is an entirely separate function undertaken by Applus on behalf of the Road Safety Authority.
