244. Deputy Holly Cairns asked the Minister for Transport the way in which his Department and agencies under his remit facilitate persons wishing to engage with their services through the Irish language; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21913/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Department of Transport Irish Language Scheme 2021-2024, was recently affirmed by the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, and sets out how the Department will provide services to members of the public in Irish over the period of the Scheme. I have attached a copy of the scheme and it will be available shortly on my Department's website. In addition, my Department has an Irish Language Unit and a dedicated phone line to assist the public with any queries they may have in Irish.
