311. Deputy Martin Browne asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the status of plans for the tourist interpretative heritage centre in Cashel, County Tipperary; and if a location for the centre has been identified. [21663/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraA suitably qualified consultancy firm has been engaged to undertake an initial site assessment for the possible location of a new Visitor Centre for the Rock of Cashel. It is envisaged that such a Centre, once completed would serve visitor needs to the Monument site, the town of Cashel and its environs.
A number of sites have been identified and will be assessed over the coming months.
