596. Deputy Mark Ward asked the Minister for Education the reason pupils in a school (details supplied) do not have access to an educational psychiatrist; and her plans to put this service in place in the school. [22060/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraI can inform the Deputy that a new educational psychologist was assigned to the school referred to by the Deputy in January this year. Prior to this a member of the local NEPS team provided a service to the school which involved responding to queries from the school, access to critical incident support if needed, casework, case consultation and access to the Scheme for the Commissioning of Psychological Assessments (SCPA).
