318. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if a matter (details supplied) in relation to damage caused by a river will be examined; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25536/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Office of Public Works (OPW) is responsible for the maintenance of Arterial Drainage Schemes completed under the Arterial Drainage Act of 1945. The location referred to by the Deputy does not form part of an Arterial Drainage Scheme. Therefore, the OPW has no maintenance responsibility at that location, nor the authority to carry out any works there.
