It has not been possible to gather the required information in the tunraround time for PQs. I will revert to the Deputy when the information has been gathered.

The following deferred reply was received under Standing Order 51
I refer to the above-referenced Parliamentary Question and my original reply stating that it was not possible to provide the required information within the timeframe available. I am now in a position to do so.
The military authorities have advised that they do not anticipate recruitment competitions for the roles mentioned by the Deputy as:
- There are no dedicated data analyst or statistician roles in the Defence Forces but, rather, appropriate personnel may be tasked with such work as the need arises.
- Communications and Information Services (CIS) Corps personnel are trained and educated for their respective roles internally by a variety of methods including Trainee Technician Schemes (TTS). The CIS TTS has a robust training pipeline that is deemed sufficient to fill current vacancies.
I can assure the Deputy that the manpower requirement of the Defence Forces has been, and remains, monitored on an ongoing basis in accordance with the operational requirements of each of the three services to ensure they maintain their operational capability.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in providing this reply.
