255. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media if there is a special grant for private roads in Gaeltacht areas (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [30331/21]
Amharc ar fhreagraScéim na mBóithre Áise, to which the Deputy is referring, has been suspended for some years now. Under the provisions of the scheme which was administered by my Department, financial assistance was provided to the relevant local authorities to undertake repairs in respect of qualifying Gaeltacht roads.
There are no plans to reintroduce this scheme at this time.
