Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 544, 545, 546, 547, 548, 549, 550, 551, 552 and 553 of 25 May 2021, the budget available for the reconstitution and underplanting scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe Department's budget allocation for forestry for 2021 is €103.4m. The Afforestation Programme is the main expenditure from this allocation which also provides for payments for other forestry support schemes including the Reconstitution and Underplanting Scheme for Ash Dieback.
It is a demand-led scheme and payments will be in response to approved applications received.
