There are no plans at present to exempt children from contact tracing. Contact tracing is an important element in controlling the spread of SARS-Cov-2 and is kept under continuing review by the Department, the HSE and the Health Protection Surveillance Centre. Details regarding the current guidance in place are available at https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/covid19/contact-tracing/
