Ceisteanna (443)

Louise O'Reilly

443. Deputy Louise O'Reilly asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if his offices have been in contact with a person (details supplied) regarding their work to help an Afghan family who are under threat of death from the Taliban as a result of the family’s work on women’s rights in Afghanistan. I am familiar with this matter. I can confirm to the Deputy that the family in question have arrived safely into Ireland and are now receiving assistance from the Department of Social Protection, the Health Service Executive, An Garda Síochána and the Irish Refugee Resettlement Programme.
