Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 297, 298, 299 of 25 November 2021, the overall cost of the extension to the central campus EO1 project at Sligo IT; and if it is contained in the Investment Programme Tracker October 2021 which was released as part of the NDP launch; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe EO1 project is a co-funded project funded under the Higher Education Strategic Infrastructure Fund. My Department is contributing €6.6m in exchequer funding towards the overall cost of this project (€18.6m).
The Investment Programme Tracker October 2021 focuses mainly on major projects and programmes with costs greater than €20 million. The EO1 project at Sligo IT does not fall into the greater than €20m category and therefore is not contained in the tracker.
