Deputy Ged Nash asked the Minister for Education the provision that is being made for playing pitches, basketball courts and other outdoor sports facilities for students at a school (details supplied) in advance of the development of the permanent school facility; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe planning application for the next phase of interim accommodation for the school referred to by the Deputy was submitted to the Local Authority on 15th December, 2022. Included as part of this phase is a hard play area i.e. basketball court. It is not proposed nor is it included in the planning application already submitted to provide any other amenity facilities as outlined by the Deputy given the complexities of this site.
