Sport Ireland, in collaboration with my Department, is currently engaged in the process of developing a framework to assist and guide the preparation by the relevant local authorities of the local sports plans. It is anticipated that this framework will be available around mid-year, following which local authorities can progressively prepare their sports plans according to their local priorities and timeframes.
