Deputy Alan Dillon asked the Minister for Education the status of the provision of a school extension at a special needs school (details supplied) in County Mayo; the remaining steps in the approval process; when her Department was last in contact with the school regarding the process; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe building project for the school referred to by the Deputy is included in the Department’s ADAPT 3 Building Programme and a tender competition to appoint a Project Manager for this Programme is currently underway. It is expected that this process will be concluded shortly. The Project Manager, when appointed, will be responsible for initiating the process for the appointment of a Design Team for the ADAPT 3 Programme.
The Department will be in further contact directly with the school during this process.
