718. Deputy Ruairí Ó Murchú asked the Minister for Health if there has been additional funding provided for the appointment of an additional two epilepsy nurse specialists; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17697/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am answering on the assumption that the Deputy is referring to advanced nurse specialist (ANP) positions recommended by the HSE in a report on its Valproate Response Project in 2019. The HSE has recently submitted an application to my Department to fund these positions; this application is being considered by officials within the Department.
