Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the reason for the delay in issuing a passport to a person (details supplied) despite the fact that the application was submitted on 6 January 2022 with an attached issue date of the 31 March 2022; and if he will make a statement on the matter. With regard to the specific application about which the Deputy has enquired, the Passport Service has provided an update to the applicant as to the steps they must take to progress their passport application.
