Defibrillators are installed in 25 Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine locations where there tend to be larger populations of staff. Defibrillators have not been installed by the Department at our offices in 4 locations which are accessible to the public.

I have forwarded the question to the Agencies under the remit of my Department and for answer.

I wish to advise the Deputy that my Department did not award any consultancy contracts to an organisation (details supplied) in the years 2017 to 2021.

As regards the 12 State Agencies under the aegis of the Department, the placing of such contracts is an operational issue for the agencies themselves and I have referred the question to them for direct reply.

The Department of Rural and Community Development was established on 19th July 2017 to provide a renewed and consolidated focus on rural and community development in Ireland.

I can confirm there are no staff members from my Department who are based and working within the European Union in Brussels. I can also confirm that since my Department's establishment in July 2017 no staff have been based or working in the European Union.

My Department occupies offices in Trinity Point, Dublin 2 and Government Buildings in Ballina, Co. Mayo. Both offices are equipped with defibrillators.

In terms of the agencies under my Department’s aegis, the Charities Regulator, Pobal and Water Safety Ireland have all confirmed to my Department that their offices are equipped with defibrillators. The Western Development Authority does not have a defibrillator in its office in Ballaghderreen, Co. Roscommon but there is one located in a public area just outside.
