Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Finance if his Department employs persons or firms to deal with public relations; if so, the number of persons employed by his Department or firms to deal with public relations; the names of firms involved; and the total amount spent on public relations by his Department. I wish to inform the Deputy that my Department does not currently employ any external persons or firms to deal with public relations. Public relations for the Department of Finance are handled by staff based within the Press Office.
