Deputy Gary Gannon asked the Minister for Education the latest average class size figure for primary schools in Ireland for 2021 and 2022 academic years (details supplied); if the average class size has reduced from 23.3 as detailed in her Department’s statistical bulletin from December 2021. We expect to publish the final primary enrolments for 2021-2022 including class tables by the end of June 2022.
We will then be in a position to provide the average primary class size for 2021-2022.
