Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the support granted by Enterprise Ireland for an organisation (details supplied); if Enterprise Ireland's policies and due diligence processes are being reviewed given the allegations made concerning the organisation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There are robust procedures in place in Enterprise Ireland to ensure that due diligence is undertaken in advance of approving public monies to companies thus ensuring the best value for the dispersal of public monies by the State.
Enterprise Ireland’s policies and processes are regularly audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General and internal audits are also undertaken at regular intervals to ensure that Enterprise Ireland is in compliance with best practice.
