Ceist:

1510. Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if he will allocate additional funding for therapy posts in children’s disability network teams to address the immediate needs of over 1,000 children and families awaiting services, as outlined by an organisation (details supplied) a pre-Budget 2025 submission; if he will consider this matter when finalising his Budget plans; and if he will make a statement on the matter. All budgetary submissions and business cases received by officials in my Department are dealt with as part of the normal Budget Estimates procedure. The process of evaluating submissions in advance of Budget 2025 is ongoing between officials from my Department and colleagues from the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform. This process is iterative, and it would not be appropriate to comment on any specific submission.
