262. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the status of a general employment permit application by a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [40973/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Employment Permits Section of my Department informs me that they have checked the new Employment Permit applications received, and that the Employment Permit application in respect of the person concerned in the details supplied was only submitted to them on the 4th of October 2024 and was placed in the processing queue on the 7th of October 2024.
All applications for employment permits are dealt with in date order. As of Tuesday the 8th of October 2024, the Employment Permits Section are processing new applications in respect of standard employers which were received on the 28th of August 2024.
