As is the case with the rest of the country, responsibility for road maintenance in Gaeltacht areas lies with the relevant local authorities. In this context, my Department has no plans to restore Scéim na mBóithre Áise in Gaeltacht areas and, accordingly, no costings in respect of its restoration have been prepared.
