As Minister for Transport, I am responsible for the development and implementation of Transport policy across land, air and maritime transport in Ireland. Transport policy is developed in line with the mission of my Department to deliver an accessible, efficient, safe and sustainable transport system that supports communities, households and businesses. The Deputy may wish to note that further detail on the scope and nature of my responsibilities as Minister for Transport is available in the published version of the briefing provided to me as Minister following the formation of the Government earlier this year.
