Although it would not be appropriate for the Department to comment on any individual case, we can confirm that we have no record of receiving a query from the Board of Management of the school in question, and as pension issues are a matter for the employer, it is unclear, from the information supplied what role the Department or the HSE would have. However, Officials in the Pension Unit of my Department would be happy to advise on the matter if the Board of Management of the school wishes to submit a query directly.
