My Department launched a new online Employment Permits System on 28th April. The new system is designed to deliver an improved customer experience and a more efficient and responsive service. This new system introduces a portal space with separate and individual accounts for both employers, employees and agents, making it easier to get up-to-date information on the status of applications.

It also provides individual users with more ownership over the management of their accounts. This new employment permits system makes the application process easier, more secure, more intuitive and in so doing will reduce inaccuracies in the submission of applications, resulting in more streamlined processing.

The majority of service users have been able register successfully and are submitting permit applications for processing. Indeed, over 4,700 users have now registered on the system and 750 permits have been issued. However, I am aware that a small number of technical issues is impacting some users in setting up their accounts. My officials are working to address these issues as quickly as possible and are actively engaging with employers and agents to provide support. If any users are still experiencing difficulties they should contact epos@enterprise.gov.
