The Vótáil 100 exhibition, entitled Votes for Women: Suffrage and Citizenship, was officially opened today in the Seanad ante room.

This collection of artefacts, images and ephemera includes the banner of the Irishwomen’s Franchise League, which was established 110 years ago. The exhibition tells the story of the campaign for votes for women in Ireland. The exhibition is in partnership with the National Museum of Ireland and the National Library of Ireland.

Visitors to Leinster House from now until October will be able to see the exhibition. Extra tours have been scheduled to cope with demand.
