Approximately 800 visitors celebrated Culture Night in Leinster House on Friday.
The visitors got a first look at the newly restored Georgian Leinster House including the Seanad Chamber. They also saw a special exhibition commemorating the centenary of Dáil Éireann, which first met in January 1919. This included a virtual reality tour through the last 100 years of parliamentary democracy and live theatrical performances.
Musical entertainment was by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, Dublin Social Choir, Rathfarnham Ukulele Group and St. Joseph’s Primary School Tipperary Town.
