The Houses of the Oireachtas Service has been shortlisted for the 2019 Civil Service Excellence and Innovation Awards. The Oireachtas Working Group on Irish Sign Language (ISL) was nominated in the category Excellence in Culture, Values and Diversity.
The Working Group was established in June 2018 to examine steps to achieve ISL supports for witnesses and visitors attending the Houses and Committees for specific debates, viewers of Oireachtas TV, visitors to our website and social media sites, visitors on tours, and Members and staff.
