Taoiseach and Minister for Finance to Attend Oireachtas Committee

Both the Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD and the Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan TD will attend separate sub-Committee meetings of the Oireachtas Select Committee on Public Expenditure and Reform tomorrow, (13th).

Minister Noonan will attend a meeting at 11:30 am, in Committee Room 2.

The purpose of this meeting is to allow the Committee to consider the 2011 revised estimates for the following areas:

  • The Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General
  • Office of the Minister for Finance
  • Office of the Appeal Commissioners
  • Office of the Revenue Commission

Minister for State Brian Hayes TD will attend the Committee at 10 am to consider the revised estimate for the Office of Public Works.

These estimates outline the overall proposed expenditure by the Department and give information on the sectors in which the money will be spent.

The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD, will attend a select sub-committee meeting at 2pm in Committee Room 2  

Among the issues due for consideration at this meeting are the revised estimates for;

  • Department of the Taoiseach
  • Office of the Attorney General
  • Office of the Chief State Solicitor
  • Office of the Director of Public Prosecution
