17 Lún 2011, 14:08

17 August 2011 The gates of Leinster House will be opened and members of the public invited for an evening of culture and entertainment in the historic surroundings of the Irish Parliament on 23rd September as part of the nationwide Culture Night Festival.

Visitors on the night will enjoy guided tours of Leinster House, which will feature access to the debating chambers of both Dáil and Seanad Éireann, walk through the historic corridors of the Houses of the Oireachtas and view the home of the Oireachtas Committee system in Leinster House 2000. Musical entertainment will also be provided on the night.

The event is part of this year’s Culture Night festival. Culture Night, organised by Temple Bar Cultural Trust, is a hugely important event on the cultural calendar providing people with the opportunity to discover and enjoy the rich cultural offering of the country’s venues at night for free.

This is the fourth year in which the Houses of the Oireachtas have participated in Culture Night. Since the Oireachtas’ involvement 3 years ago,  5,000 people have passed through the doors of Leinster House.

Leinster House is one of the many venues in Dublin where over 150 cultural venues have been confirmed for Culture Night.

Please note that this is a ticketed event and as tickets are limited there will only be two tickets allocated to each person. If you wish to reserve tickets please call our Lo-call number, 1890 252 808 or go to www.oireachtasevents.ie
