Justice Committee to discuss Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) (Amendment) Bill 2013

Justice Minister Alan Shatter TD will attend the Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality tomorrow, 15th May 2013 for the committee stage of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) (Amendment) Bill 2013.

Committee Chairman David Stanton, TD, said: “The primary purpose of the Bill is to amend the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 in order to align certain provisions more closely with international standards and to amend certain provisions to reflect operational requirements. Tomorrow, the Bill will receive detailed consideration and members will have the opportunity to propose and discuss any amendments to the legislation as published.”

This Committee will meet in Committee Room 2 at 9.30am tomorrow, Wednesday, 15th May 2013.
