Employment Affairs & Social Protection Committee to meet counterparts from Romanian parliament

The Committee on Employment Affairs and Social Protection will meet with representatives from the Committee for Labour and Social Protection, Chamber of Deputies, Parliament of Romania tomorrow, Thursday, 26 October 2017.


Committee Chairman John Curran said: “Tomorrow we will meet with counterparts from the Committee for Labour and Social Protection in the Romanian parliament to discuss matters of mutual interest and the shared challenges that our countries face in relation to employment and social protection. Among the issues we may discuss are: the Irish system of social protection; measures for combating unemployment, especially youth unemployment; policies for a better balance between family and working life; and equality.”

The Committee will commence in public session at 12 mid-day in Committee Room 4 tomorrow, Thursday 26 October 2017.
