We have already heard from a number of groups working and campaigning for disability rights to get their perspectives on accessibility of public transport for people with disabilities. Tomorrow we will continue with our hearings on the accessibility of public transport for people with disabilities when we will discuss the issue with a number of transport operators. It is an opportunity for the Committee to examine what measures have been implemented to date to ensure there is an accessible public transport system to meet the needs of people with disabilities and consider what measures still need to be put into effect to make public transport more accessible.”
The Committee will start at 1.30pm, tomorrow, Wednesday, 17 January 2018 in Committee Room 2, Leinster House. Committee proceedings can be viewed live here.
