Finance Committee continues hearings on banking sector with AIB CEO

The Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet with Bernard Byrne, Chief Executive Officer, Allied Irish Banks, on Thursday, 21 June 2018 as part of its hearings on the banking sector.

Committee Chairman John McGuinness TD said: “We will continue our hearings with the pillar banks on Thursday when Bernard Byrne, Chief Executive Officer, Allied Irish Banks will appear before the Committee. Among the issues the Committee will focus on are: the bank’s performance and future strategy, including its plan to sell non-performing loans; progress made to resolve the tracker mortgage issue, including redress for customers;  mortgage interest rates, customer services and the impact of regulatory requirements in the banking sector.”

The meeting will start at 9.30am in Committee Room 2, Leinster House and proceedings can be followed here.
