PAC to examine Kildare Wicklow ETB accounts

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will meet tomorrow at 9am in Leinster House.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

9am: Kildare Wicklow ETB Financial Statements 2015 and C&AG Supplementary Report
Representatives from Kildare Wicklow ETB;
Officials from Dept. of Education and Skills.

2.30pm: Matters related to Appropriation Accounts 2017 Vote 34: Housing, Planning and Local Government
Representatives from the Irish Council for Social Housing and the Approved Housing Body Interim Regulatory Committee.
PAC Chairman, Seán Fleming TD, said, “The C&AG certified the 2015 KWETB financial statements in December 2018. The C&AG’s supplementary report, which accompanied these financial statements, drew attention to lapses in controls over the procurement of capital projects and certain other expenses, as well as non-compliant procurement expenditure on goods and services. There is a Garda investigation currently ongoing relating to past tendering and public procurement procedures at the KWETB. The Committee will also wish to discuss the Thorn Report findings and the measures being taken by KWETB on foot of that report. ”

“In the afternoon session of the meeting, the Committee will discuss housing- matters.”

The meeting will start at 9am in Committee Room 3, Leinster House.
