On Tuesday at 4pm, the Joint Committee on Business, Enterprise and Innovation will continue its scrutiny of the Industrial and Provident Societies (Amendment) Bill 2018.
The following witnesses are due before the committee; the Centre for Co-Operative Studies; the Irish Co-Operative Organisation Society Limited; ACCA Ireland; and the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation.
“The Committee looks forward to hearing from four stakeholders for this, our second engagement on this important topic. This private members’ Bill proposes to reduce the number of members required to set up a co-operative, and to allow for the creation of audit exemptions for co-operatives in certain circumstances,” said Committee Chair Mary Butler TD.
