Joint Committee on Employment Affairs and Social Protection to hear pre Budget submissions

3 Iúil 2019, 10:34

The Joint Committee on Employment Affairs and Social Protection will meet tomorrow to hear pre Budget submissions from the Crosscare Migrant Project and Chime - The National Charity for Deafness and Hearing Loss.

Both bodies have previously made submissions to the Committee, and will appear before the Committee in Committee Room 4 at 10am on Thursday.

The Crosscare Migrant Project is a Dublin based NGO providing information and advocacy support to Irish emigrants and people who have moved to Ireland.  For over fifty years, Chime has championed for equal rights, greater accessibility and opportunities for individuals with deafness and hearing loss.

In advance of these discussions, Committee Chairman John Curran TD said: “Both organisations do an amount of significant work. The Committee looks forward to engaging with both Chime and Crosscare who provide very important services.”
