Minister for Foreign Affairs before Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement

The Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement will discuss Brexit and its implications for the Good Friday Agreement with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence, Simon Coveney in Leinster House, tomorrow at 2pm.

The meeting with TDs and Senators takes place in Committee Room 3.

Speaking before the meeting, Committee chairman, Fergus O’Dowd TD said: “The end of the Brexit transition period is fast approaching. The Committee welcomes this opportunity to engage with Minister Coveney on Brexit. Members want to get an update on the most recent developments in the EU/UK negotiations and the implications of the eventual outcome of these negotiations for the Good Friday Agreement and the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland.”
