Select Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow to engage with Minister of State at DPER regarding the OPW

The Select Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow to engage with Patrick O'Donovan, Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, regarding the Office of Public Works.

Tuesday’s meeting at  3.30pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House can be viewed on Oireachtas TV.

In advance of the meeting, Chairperson of the Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach, John McGuinness, TD, said: “Tuesday’s meeting with the Minister regarding the OPW will cover a wide range of matters of which impact upon citizens across the country, with flood relief schemes and estimates covering the OPW, among the topics likely to be discussed.

“The OPW has a large remit of responsibilities and a broad range of services. Its two primary strategic programmes, Flood Risk Management and Estate Management are focused on the two high level goals - to minimise the extent of coastal and river flooding and its social, economic and environmental impacts and to deliver the management, design and sourcing services for the State Property and Heritage portfolios. We look forward to engaging with the Minister tomorrow.”
