Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach to discuss general banking matters with AIB

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 30 June, to discuss general banking matters with representatives of AIB.

The meeting at 12.30pm in Committee Room 4 of Leinster House will be attended remotely by Dr Colin Hunt, CEO of AIB, Jim O’Keeffe, Managing Director of Retail Banking, and Helen Dooley, Group General Counsel.

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy John McGuinness said: “Following our previous engagements on general banking matters with independent banking witnesses and Permanent TSB, we look forward to hearing from Dr Hunt and his colleagues. The Committee expects AIB to outline their response to a number of matters of public concern, including EBS tied agents, tracker mortgages, management of customers in loan arrears, the purchase of Ulster Bank loans, digital banking and the future of the branch network.”

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach has 13 Members, nine from the Dáil and four from the Seanad.
