Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action to meet with Commission for Regulation of Utilities

The Joint Committee Environment and Climate Action will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 6 July, with the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU).

The meeting at 12.30pm in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House will hear from Aoife MacEvilly, Chairperson of the CRU and Commissioners Jim Gannon and Paul McGowan.

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Brian Leddin said: “The Commission for Regulation of Utilities is Ireland’s independent water and energy regulator and its role is to protect the public interest in water, energy and energy safety. The Committee has an oversight role with the CRU and we look forward to discussing the Commission’s work and related matters with Ms MacEvilly and her colleagues.”

The Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
