Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action to discuss report of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and COP26 with Minister Eamon Ryan

The Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 19 October, with Eamon Ryan TD, Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications, and Transport, to discuss the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and COP26.

Speaking ahead of the meeting at 3pm in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Brian Leddin said: “The Committee welcomes this opportunity to meet with Minister Ryan to discuss the IPCC report and COP26. We look forward to hearing about Ireland’s plans for COP26 and to discussing the role our country should take in pushing for more ambitious climate action on the global scale.”

The Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
