Joint Committee on Public Petitions and the Ombudsmen to consider range of petitions

The Joint Committee on Public Petitions and the Ombudsmen chaired by Deputy Martin Browne will meet tomorrow, Thursday, 26 September, at 1.30pm in Committee Room 4 of Leinster House to consider the following petitions:

  • ·       Public Petition Number P00001/24 ‘To give practical application to the right not to attend religious instruction in school’;
  • ·       Public Petition Number P00008/24 ‘Employment Equality’ (resumed);
  • ·       Public Petition Number P00034/24 ‘Future of the Dean Maxwell Community Nursing Unit, Roscrea’ (resumed);
  • ·       Public Petition Number P00035/24 ‘Mogeely Interim Flood Relief’ (resumed);
  • ·       Public Petition Number P00040/24 ‘Request for Mental Health Facilities’ (resumed).

The Joint Committee on Public Petitions and the Ombudsmen is a standing Committee of the Houses of the Oireachtas and has 11 Members, seven from the Dáil and four from the Seanad.
