The Joint Committee on Infrastructure and National Development Plan Delivery meet tomorrow to discuss the steps involved from concept to commissioning of large-scale capital projects

The Joint Committee on Infrastructure and National Development Plan Delivery will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 21st May to discuss the steps involved from concept to commissioning of large-scale capital projects.

The Committee will meet with:

  • Mr David Moloney – Secretary General, Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.
  • Mr Kevin Meaney – Principal Officer, Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.
  • Ms Jenny Connors - Principal Officer, Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.
  • Mr Ken Cleary - Principal Officer, Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.
  • Ms Kate Ivory - Principal Officer, Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.

Speaking ahead of the meeting at 3:30pm in Committee Room 1 of Leinster House Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Sean Fleming said: "Tomorrow’s meeting will allow the Committee to commence its work on analysing the flow of just how large-scale capital projects go from being initiated all the way to completion. We look forward to discussing the intricacies of the steps involved with representatives from the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform.

“We will look to those attending tomorrow to detail how progress is measured in real-time on these projects. We will welcome their observations as to what more can be implemented to achieve timely delivery of major capital projects.”

The Committee on Infrastructure and National Development Plan Delivery has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
